Today’s prompt, “Pteroflare,” beckoned me to reach beyond the skies, venturing into the vastness of space and the Astral realms. I present to you the AstralDactyl—a colossal, luminous feathered beast, ready to soar through the cosmos in your Spelljammer campaigns!
While my initial inclination was to approach this prompt like the previous elemental dinosaur series, I sought something more extraordinary. Thus, I aimed higher—straight into the cosmos. The AstralDactyl is a gargantuan entity that roams the Astral realms, wildspace, or any crystal spheres in your Spelljamming adventures.
This magnificent creature, like many dinosaurs, is neutrally aligned until provoked. However, when angered, it unleashes a devastating radiant breath weapon upon its foes. With its colossal size, incredible speed, and resistance to magic, the AstralDactyl is poised to illuminate your campaigns with its prismatic appearance and cosmic majesty.
